He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence James and Dorothy Adams Atkinson. He is survived by: his wife Jan Atkinson of Bishopville; his daughters, Angie Floyd (Chad) of Camden, Rhonda Wolfe (Tim) of Chesnee and Chris Owen of Florida; and his siblings, Mitch Atkinson (Florence) of Bishopville, Libby Atkinson of Sumter and Deannie McClard (Tony) of Bishopville. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
