It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Birgit Hunaeus Darby (Bishopville, South Carolina), who passed away on August 27, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband William Darby (Bill) of Fort Motte, SC.; her daughters, Greta Darby McDaniel (Rae) of Bishopville, SC and Birgit Elizabeth Darby of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Elizabeth McDaniel Jones (Brad) of Pensacola, FL, Eleanor McDaniel Reburn (Ryan), Emmy McDaniel of Chicago, IL and Lochlainn Burke of New York City, NY; her great grandchild Hayes Reburn; and her pets, Fernie and Thea.
Due to the increased spread of Covid, the family has chosen not to hold a service at this time.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in her name to the Grand Strand Humane Society in Myrtle Beach.
