She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Clarie Josey Charles; her brothers, Walter Charles Jr. of Bishopville and Willie N. Charles of Sumter; her aunts and uncles, Ada Bell Jenkins, Blanche Fraizer, Essie Mae Brisbon, Lessie Mae Peterson, Sadie C. McDowell of Bishopville, Betty Mae Andrews of Greensboro, N. C., Priscilla Charles (Willie Norwood) of Camden, Laddie Charles of Bishopville and Willie Norwood Charles of Camden; her nieces, Latavia and Shana Charles; and her nephew Kaneil Charles of Augusta, GA.
She was employed at The Gibbs Center for many years until COVID-19 came into being.
