He was predeceased by: his parent Odell Lee; and his siblings, Johnnie Davis, Thomas Davis and Ethel Lee Davis. He is survived by: his wife Janice B. Davis; his children, Wendy Tidwell of Bishopville and Ricky Davis (Kimmie) of Lamar; his grandsons, Dylan Tidwell (Kallon) of Camden, Matthew Tidwell (Carson) of Bishopville, Carson and Brayden Davis of Lamar; his great grandchild Charley "Teeniny" Tidwell; and his sister Doris D. Cobb.
