He is survived by: his wife Dorothea Arlene Decko Mercier of Bethune; and his children, David John Mercier (Jessica) of Barkhamsted, CT, Suzanne Helen Duval (Melvin) of Bethune, John Joseph Novajasky of Torrington, CT, Kathleen Anne Deane (James) of Lehigh Acres, FL, Michael Thomas Novajasky (Heidi) of Torrington, CT, Thomas Stephen Novajasky (Wendy) of Farmington, CT and Mary Margaret Hawkins (Brent) of Torrington, CT. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
