James R. Hagwood Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James R. Hagwood Sr. of Bethune, South Carolina, born in Raleigh, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2024 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rudolph Hagwood and Vivian Hagwood; and his brother Allen. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Hilton Hagwood; his sons, James R. Hagwood Jr. (Lisa) and Steven H. Hagwood; his grandchildren, Ashley Eckel, Myles, Carlee, Thomas, Erin Brodd, Kyle, Kinlee, Ellisyn, Elizabeth Bisesti, Jason, Alma-Rose, Quinn, A. J. Hagwood, Katherine, James, Emma and Nora; and his siblings, Charles, Judy, Ruth, Cynthia and Rose Mary. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church (2140 McBee Hwy, Jefferson, SC 29718). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at the Timrod Baptist Church (4227 Timrod Rd, Bethune, SC 29009).
