She was predeceased by: her parents, Angus Ray and Annie Ray; her parents-in-law, James and Carolyn Blackwell; and her siblings, Goldie Moseley, Rendel Ray, David Ray, Susan Moseley and Roger Ray.
She is survived by: her husband James C. "Jim" Blackwell, Jr.; her daughter Hope Blackwell (Joshua Jeffers); her granddaughter Karmen Davis; and her siblings, Elaine Robertson (Bruce), Charles Ray and Benny Ray (Vivian). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
