She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Gibson Howell and Fred Clark Howell; and her siblings, Vernon Howell, Roderick Howell, Gloria Coughenour and Anne Braswell.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Allen Stanton; her sister Freda Mann; her sons, Robert Allen Stanton II (Carol) of McColl and Ronald Howell Stanton of Bennettsville; her grandchildren, Ben Stanton (Marci), Mary Gibson Stanton Driggers (Eric), Kaylee Stanton, Nicholas Stanton and Michael Stanton; and her great grandchildren, Russell Stanton, Mariella Stanton and Savannah Driggers.
