He was predeceased by: his parent Tyson Brooks; his daughter Baby Girl Chavis; and his brother Hugh W. Chavis. He is survived by: his parent Meloise Brigman Chavis; and his sisters, Betty Chavis and Mary Alice Lanthier. He is also survived by several stepchildren and step grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
