It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Smith of Bennettsville, South Carolina, who passed away on October 10, 2021, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Claude Chavis; and her sister Annette Dixon. She is survived by: her husband Gene Smith; her children, Alan Sessoms (Pam) and Brandi Sessoms Williams (Andrew); her siblings, Steve Chavis (Charlene), Sheila Kirby (Buddy) and Penny McCall (Zannie); her grandchildren, Michael Sessoms, Gavin Sessoms and Kyle Smith; and her close friend Karen "Strawberry" Rowland. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
