With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Ireson (Bennettsville, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 21, 2024 at the age of 74. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard "Shorty" Locklear and Mary France Oxendine Locklear; her daughter Tammy Dale Norris; and her husband Floyd Ireson. She is survived by: her partner Chris "Papa" Hood; her sons, Kenny Locklear (Cynthia) and Deander Locklear; her stepchildren, Victor Ireson, Sharon Ireson and Terry Ireson; her sisters, Carlene Neuder of Maryland and Annabelle "Belle" Hunt of Maryland; and her son-in-law Robert Fields. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Burroughs Funeral Home (688 Beauty Spot Rd E, Bennettsville, SC 29512). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at the Rogers Cemetery of McColl.
