Though Lena Mae may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lena Mae touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Arthor Chestnut and Rowena Owens Chestnut; her husband Emory Harold "Buck" George, Jr.; and her children, Emory Harold George, Jr., Edward Earl "Eddie" George and Susan Denise George.
She is survived by: her son Billy Jason Chestnut; her granddaughter Susan Cheyenne George English "Fred" (Cameron) of Blenheim, SC; her daughter-in-law Carmela George of Blenheim, SC; her great grandchild Emory Layken English; and her brother-in-law Charles "Buddy" George. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel (209 Black Branch Rd, Dillon, SC 29536). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
