He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Rucker and Elizabeth Horton Glenn. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Glenn; his children, Grayson Glenn (Marianne) of McLeansville, NC, Talia Williams (Marshall) of Asheboro, NC, Brittany Sheffield (Steven) of Asheboro, NC and Courtney Markle (Matt) of Asheboro, NC; his siblings, Thomas Glenn (Becky) of Seneca and Alethea Glenn of Townville; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Williams, Brayden Williams, Charlotte Sheffield, Elizabeth Markle, Logan Markle, Katherine Markle and Ella Glenn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in James' honor to any local fire department. Donations can also be made to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758516 Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
