He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Patton and Susie Bartlett Patton; his siblings, Wilma, Mary, Odell, Barbara, Nell and Cliff; and also, Deanna Vaughan Patton and Valerie Southers.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Rose Patton of Bennettsville; his son Dr. Jeffrey F. (Marry Patton); his stepdaughters, Janet Alderman of Christiansburg, VA and Kimberly Hall (Tim) of Dublin, VA; his grandchildren, Ashley Foote (Douglas) of Nashville, TN and Evan Patton (Kelly Bacot) of Nashville, TN; his stepgrandchildren, Spencer Alderman, Tyler Hall, Madison Alderman, Logan Alderman and Emillie Hall; and his siblings, Hazel Montgomery of Akron, OH, Millie Bullins (Gene) of Galax, VA and William A.
