With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Brigman McKenzie of Bennettsville, South Carolina, who passed away on January 22, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Jessie Brigman; her friends, Meme and Dot Dot; her mother Dot; her husband David McKenzie; her siblings, Eva Newton, Beulah O'Tuel, Roy Brigman and John Brigman; her sons-in-law, Jerry Conyers and Frank Burris Sr.; her grandson William C. Schoen Jr.; her daughters, Carol Burris of Bennettsville, SC, Phyllis Sweatt (James) of West Columbia, SC, Brenda Nobles (Dalair) of Laurinburg, NC and Bessie Conyers of West Columbia, SC; her sisters-in-law, Lena McKenzie and Katie Brigman; and her grandchildren, Tammy Burris, Frank Burris, Jr. (Brandy), Eric Burris (Aimee), Tica Burris-Jackson (Keith), Melannie Tyson (Alex), Michelle Nobles (Jamel), Christie Allen and Brittany Schoen (Cody). She was also cherished by many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
