She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie J. McDowell and Elizabeth Cassellman McDowell; her husband Joe Hayes Polston; her children, Richard Earl, Joann Freeman and Lucy Berry; her grandsons, Joseph Polston, Jennings Polston and Sidney Polston; and her brother Jessie Lee McDowell.
She is survived by: her children, Harmon Polston of Bennettsville, Donnie Polston (Audrey) of Robbinsville, NC, Jerry Polston (Brenda) of Bennettsville, Sid Polston (Lane) of McColl, Joe Polston (Terry) of Blenheim, Larry Polston of Blenheim, Billie Sue Campbell of Cheraw, Eunice Polston of Florida, Sara Radford of McColl, Sandy Redbrook (Jay) of McColl and Lisa Polston of Wallace. She is also survived by 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Burroughs Funeral Home (688 Beauty Spot Rd E, Bennettsville, SC 29512). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blenheim Church of God (116 W High St, Blenheim, SC 29516). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at the Polston Family Cemetery.
