He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ray and Francis E Pruitt Posey; and his former wife Elizabeth "Sue" Posey. He is survived by: his wife Ann Davies Posey; his son Michael Posey (Denise) of Iva; his granddaughter Brandy Haynes of Honea Path; his great grandchildren, Jake Smith and Hannah Smith; and his stepgranddaughter Jessica Brown.
