He was predeceased by: his sister Shirley Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Minister Eunice Sims; his son Gerald Sims (Lovette) of Belton; and his siblings, Dorothy Sims, Marvin, Leo (Ruth), Williford (Brenda), Walter, Bobby, Randy (Patricia), Jerry, Larry and Jimmy Ray Sims.
