He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alton and Louise Gunnells Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Scott Phillips of Belton and Leticia "Tisha" Phillips Helton (Michael) of Anderson; and his grandchildren, Christopher Scott Phillips (Ashleigh), Jamie Ray Phillips (Ashley), Zachary Tyler Phillips, Cynthia Hope Ryan (Craig), Brady Michael Helton and Makenzie Brooke Helton. He is also survived by 3 sisters, 2 brothers and 9 great grandchildren.
