He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Garrett and Olivia Brewer Garrett; and his siblings, Ronnie, Jacky, Kenneth Garrett and Joan Garrett.
He is survived by: his children, John Garrett (Victoria) of Starr, Olivia Garrett, Gerri McConnell (Kenneth) of Starr, Jackie Zelenko (Jeremy) of Iva, Megan Chapman (Jesse) of Sandy Springs and Kayla Vaughn (Jonathan) of Anderson; and his siblings, Wayne Garrett of Princeton, Roger Garrett of Waterloo, Buddy Garrett of Ware Shoals, Wallace Garrett (Marilyn) of Pendleton and Lula Bell Ladd (Tommy) of Pendleton. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
