She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth McAlister and Lillian Paige McAlister; her brother Leon McAlister; her nephew Steve Culbertson; and her niece Pam Culberson.

She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Lewis Bannister of Belton; her daughter Suzanne Eller (Tracy); her sisters, Rachael Hill and Lilie Culbertson; and her grandson Stephen Eller (Jessica).

Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Cox Funeral Home (201 River St, Belton, SC 29627). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Hospice of the Upstate.
