He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Columbus and Nellie Pearl Elgin Fountain; his wife Betty Joyce Fountain; and his siblings, Thomas Ira Fountain, Charles Randolph Fountain, Charles Edward Fountain, James Clayton Byrum, Brenda Joyce Fountain McCloud, Barbara Ann Fountain, Thelma Fountain McCullough and Vivian Christine King.
He is survived by: his children, Tonya Crocker (Johnny), Misty Reeder (James), Dusty Fountain (Jennifer), Christy Fountain, Elisha Pilgrim and Tatyana Fountain; and his siblings, Willis Earl Fountain, Marvin "Yogi" Franklin Fountain, Selma Fountain Whitfield (Sammy) and Jean Fountain Jordan. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
