He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lewis "Bud" Rea, Sr. and Annie Laurie Craig Rea; and his daughter Laurie Michelle "Micki" Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Elaine Jones Rea; his children, Richard Lewis Rea, III (Tammy), Harold Craig Rea (Debbie), Christopher Lewis Rea, Kelly Tweed Sluder (Evan) and Tonya Lynn Rea Wondolowski (Mike); and his son-in-law James Bentley Sanders.
