He is survived by: his sons, Rodney S. Buffington (Dionne) of Belton and Allan B. Buffington of Belton; his wife Iris Jacqueline Ballew Buffington; and his stepchildren, Angie Crocker and Paul Winn (Donna) of Anderson. He is also survived by five step-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Anderson Hospice, 1510 N. Fant Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
