It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Elgin of Belton, South Carolina, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on August 22, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John Virgil Elgin; her parents, Hubert Smith and Ila Odell Lollis Smith; and her children, Jerry Elgin, Perry Elgin and Kathy Elgin Dalrimple.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Peggy Elgin of Belton; her sisters-in-law, Peggy McGaha and Katherine Woodson; her grandchildren, Danielle Rentz (Jason), Laura Campbell (Joe) and Jerry Elgin; her great grandchildren, Hayley Jennings (T. J.), Koby Elgin, Jace Rentz and Sarah Rentz; her great great grandchildren, Cayden Jennings, Rileigh Jennings and Brentlee Jennings; and her close friend Susie Hall.
