He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Arabian Cothran, Sr. and Mary Blanche Hendrix Cothran; his grandson Mark Cothran; and his siblings, JoAnn Cothran Davenport and Tommy Cothran, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Joan Crawford Cothran; his children, James Kenneth Cothran, Jr. of Clemson, John Mark Cothran (Nancy) of Belton, Sherri Cothran Bishop (Kevin) of Pickens and Robert Daniel Cothran of Spartanburg; and his siblings, Jane Cothran Kelly of Pelzer, Linda Cothran Coker of Pelzer, Bill Cothran of Belton, Ricky Cothran of Pelzer, Glen Cothran of Belton and Joyce Cothran Coker of Pelzer. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19, it is suggested that masks be worn and social distancing observed.
