He is survived by: his parents, John Mitchell and Joyce Mitchell; his children, Ashley Campbell of Belton, Aisha Edmond of Belton, Chasity Smith of Asheville and John Alex Mitchell of Belton; his sister Shannon Sloan Johnson of Belton; and his parents-in-law, Teena DuBose (Jimmy) and Larry Rice (Evelyn) of Asheville. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
