He was predeceased by: his parents, John Minor and Opal Pearl Adams Minor; his daughter Kimberly Caroline Minor Pope; and his sisters, Irene Clamp and Sadie Minor.
He is survived by: his children, Jackie Durbin of Anderson, Felisha Minor Lasseter of Fort Lauderdale, FL, John Lankford Minor, Jr. of Anderson, Christopher James Minor of Anderson and Shannon Travis Minor of Anderson; and his brother Walter "Pete" Minor of Santee Cooper, SC. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
