She was predeceased by: her husband Cecil Cortez King; her parents, Tennant H. Patterson and Annie Mae Wooten Patterson; and her siblings, Oliver Patterson (Ann), Noble Patterson, Helen Gibbs (Bill), Grethel Middleton (William) and Doris Smith (Roy). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
