He was predeceased by: his son Jeremy Davis; and his father Lewie R. Davis. He is survived by: his son Derek Davis, Jr.; his siblings, Gary Davis, Shelby Hines, Angela Carter (Richard) and Dariel Davis (Cheryl); his mother Rose Davis; and his close friend Susan Mewbourn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
