He was predeceased by: his spouse Lona Hiott Evans; his parent Robert Boyd; and his brothers, Troy Evans, Lloyd Evans and Frank Evans.

He is survived by: his parent Genevieve Clinkscales Evans; his daughters, Amanda McGinnis (Micheal) and Jenni Creamer (David); his grandchildren, Tyler McGinnis (Zoe), Allison Todd (Chris) and Makenze McGinnis (Blake); his great grandchildren, Kaydence Todd, Lillie Todd and Ellie Yeargin; and his siblings, Theron Evans (Patsy), Jackie Evans (Bonnie) and Faye Evans.
