It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Etrulia Burgess of Belton, South Carolina, who passed away on November 20, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Lewis Burgess Sr.; her parents, James H. Saxon and Nellie Louise Hill Saxon; and her brothers, Leland Aubrey, Ralph Boyd and Jimmy Guyton Saxon.
She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Lewis Burgess Jr. (Gail) of Belton, Clyde Burgess of Belton and Julian Burgess of North Dakota; and her sister Rachel Davenport. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Cox Funeral Home (201 River St, Belton, SC 29627). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel (201 River St, Belton, SC 29627).
