It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elmer Vaughn of Belton, South Carolina, born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon F. Vaughn and Carrie G. Vaughn; his sons, Donnie Vaughn and David Vaughn; and his siblings, Edgar, Herbert, Furman, Bennett, Jim, Reuben, Homer and Rachel Bagwell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Bannister (Jeff) of Belton and Shannon Haynes (Brad) of Honea Path; his grandchildren, Hope Bannister, Alivia Vaughn of Townville, Trent Bannister (Taylor), Lauren Gilliam (Cody) of Belton and Jennifer Saunders (Tony) of Westminster; and his great grandchildren, Drake Bannister, Jensen and Emorie Gilliam.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, Alzheimer's Association, or Barkers Creek Baptist Church Seed Faith Fund.
