He was predeceased by: his former wife Rebecca Faye Robinson Hanks of Bryant Road; his parents, John Frank and Velma Jones Hanks; his son Anthony Ray Hanks; his brother Jack Hanks; and his great grandchild Caleb Vincent Martin.
He is survived by: his uncle Leonard E. Hanks; his children, Scott Hanks (Dee Dee) of Anderson and Lindy Shaw (Gary) of Starr; his sister Vickie Hanks Griffin (Bill); his grandchildren, Casey Martin (Jason), Travis Hanks (Kayla), Reese Shaw (Leann) and Jake Shaw (Harley); his caregiver Kay Holliday; and his wife Becky. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
