He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Moore and Eva Callie Bailey Poole; his former wife Bobbie Jean Rigdon; his brother Vernon Poole; and his son-in-law Ronald "Ron" Lynn.

He is survived by: his wife Sue Frances Bishop Poole; his children, Cheryl Poole Kelly (Danny) of Belton, Julie Poole Lynn of Powdersville, Robbie Poole Jackson (Dean) of Seneca and Frank Poole (Rhonda) of Williamston; and his sisters, Katherine Cobb of Simpsonville and Ann Hart of Belton. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
