He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice Glover Blackmon; his mother Susie Blackmon; and his sons, Brett Blackmon and Mark Blackmon. He is survived by: his daughter Susan Bookstaver (David); his grandchildren, Ryan (Tiffany Blackmon) and Morgan (Samuel Boyd); and also, Nora and Finn Blackmon.
The family has asked that memorials be made to Aiken-Barnwell Mental Health.
