He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Jackson Tilley and Dorothy Bell Lillard Tilley; his son John Milton Tilley; and his brothers, Michael Jack Tilley and Randy Carl Tilley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Faith Anna T. Baker (Michael "Mick") of Brooklet, GA, Barbara Hope Tilley of Savannah, GA, Dorothy Michelle T. Hess (Mike) of Jackson, SC, Carmen Leah T. Lowe (David Peters) of Nahunta, GA and Tonya Michelle T. Nickols (Rob) of California, KY; his grandchildren, Candace Myrick (Billy), Jesse Baker and Cassidy Hess (Joshua); and his great grandchildren, Dalton and Lakeland Myrick. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
