He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Robinson and Bertia Mae Thompson Robinson; his son Harvey Thompson; his grandchildren, Abe Thompson, Jr. of Chicago, IL, Rodney Thompson, Madison, Keith Thompson (Latresia) of Eden Prairie, MN, Gordon August (Mary) of Chicago and Michael August of Chicago; and his daughter Stephanie Franklin of Evans, GA.
He is survived by: his sons, Abe, Jr., Rodney, Keith and Jeff; and his wife Bea Hankerson Bell.
