He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry McGown and Martha Ann Sander McGown; his wife Sara Jane; his sons, Steven Taylor McGown II and John Curtis Sander McGown; and his siblings, Joseph Curtis McGown, Andrew Thomas McGown, Martha "Marty" Cole McGown Lopez (Oscar) and Margaret McGown Arthur (David).
