He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Leslie Harner and Margaret Anne Dayton Harner; his siblings, Dr. Marvin Leslie Harner and Judy Ann Harner Johnson; and his daughter Lisa Anne Harner Fuentes.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Anne Harner Baxley (Edmond) of Beaufort and Michael L. Harner (Rhonda) of Myrtle Beach; and his grandchildren, Russell Baxley (Stephanie) of Beaufort, Heath Baxley (Olga) of Beaufort, Sydney Harner of Bluffton, Kyle Harner, Tori Harner of Myrtle Beach and David Fuentes of Dallas. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
