He is survived by: his parents-in-law, Donald and Mary Polk; his children, Mary Donna Pinkston-Korkosz (Ronda) of Orangeburg, SC and Robert V. Pinkston, Jr. (Anita) of Pickens, SC; his brother-in-law Donald S. Polk (Jannean) of Beaufort, SC.; his grandchildren, Heidi Pinkston Robinson (Stephen) of Liberty, SC, Tara McGowan (Daniel) of Seneca, SC, Kelly Porter of Pickens, SC and Reeci Bryant (Joshua) of Pickens, SC; his siblings, Francis B. "Frank" Pinkston (Anne) of Wilmington, NC and Ruth Fitton of Harrisburg, NC; his brother-in-law Marvin Yost of Salisbury, NC.; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Robinson, Amanda Whitehead, Bailey Whitehead, Connor Porter and Asher Bryant.
