With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peggy DuRant (Beaufort, South Carolina), born in Sumter, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 8, 2025 at the age of 72. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Beaty and Patsy Beaty; her son Walker DuRant; her sister Janet Crabtree; and her grandson Rylan Hiers.
She is survived by: her daughter Leigh Hiers (Scott); her grandson Logan Hiers; and her husband Perry W. DuRant. She is also survived by family, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the First Scots Presbyterian Church (335 Sams Point Rd, Beaufort, SC 29907).
