He is survived by: his parents, Mario Ayala Sr. and Norma Iris Rosa (Rodriguez); his wife Marie Ayala; his children, Rosalinda Ayala and Daniel Ayala; his stepfather Daniel Rosa; and his brother Luis Rosa.
