It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucy Sox Gruel of Beaufort, South Carolina, born in Staunton, Virginia, who passed away on November 12, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur Frank Gruel; and her grandson Robert W. Campbell. She is survived by: her daughters, Georgia Sox McIntyre (Joseph W. McIntyre, Jr.) of Mt Pleasant, SC and Ellen Sox Campbell (Robert) of Moncks Corner, SC; her grandchildren, William T. Campbell, Kristin M. Harley and Meagan M. Powell (Logan); her great grandchildren, Mackenzie Harley Lane and Lylah A. Lane; and her sister Evelyn S. McKee of Staunton, VA.
