He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schaaf and May Schaaf; and his brothers, Walter Schaaf of Savannah, Georgia. and James Schaaf of Savannah, Georgia.. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Blitch Schaaf; his children, Kathy Curry (Kevin), John Schaaf (Ellen), Brian Schaaf (Lisa) and Sally Tompkins (Joseph); and his sister-in-law Sally Winship (Gerry) of Lee's Summit, Missouri.. He is also survived by Pappy.
The strength and foundation of Jack's life was his Catholic faith and love for his family, his country and the southern coastal outdoors.
