He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy James and Nancy Pierce (Simes). He is survived by: his wife Ruthanne C. Pierce; his children, Matthew and Lyndsay Pierce Dietze (Bryan Dietze); and his grandchildren, Alexandra Pierce, Ryan Pierce, William Dietze, Jacob Dietze and Tyler Dietze.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society and/or the American Heart Association.
