He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley E. Rucker, Sr. and Flaxie Bell Rast Rucker; and his sisters, Ollie May Snyder and Aline Rhames. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ridgeway Rucker of Beaufort, SC; his daughters, Shelli Akins (Jeff Akins) of Statesboro and Brenda Rucker of Beaufort; his siblings, Douglas Rucker, Roberta Doyle, Peggy Garvin, Lucille Harmon and Viola Kirven; his grandchildren, CJ Akins of Charleston and Rebekah Feigh (Adam Feigh) of Grand Junction; and his great grandchild Charleigh Feigh.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home (611 Robert Smalls Pkwy, Beaufort, SC 29906). A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Beaufort National Cemetery (1601 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29902).
