She was predeceased by: her parents, Foster David McLean and Bessie Burke McLean; her former husband Garland Dudley Lynam; her brother Rondall Royce McLean; her stepson Michael Todd Garrett; and her niece Sheela Dawson Stewart.
She is survived by: her spouse Colonel Patrick A. Garrett; her sons, John Mark Lynam of Beaufort and Jason McLean Lynam of Beaufort; her stepson Lee Garrett (DeeDee) of Pensacola; and her niece Mona Lee Wilder of Richmond. She is also survived by four grandchildren, two great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Beaufort County Animal Shelter or First Scots Presbyterian Church of Beaufort, S.C.
