He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair Lewis and Edith Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Patterson; his brother Pat Jr. of Ridgely, Maryland.; his children, Brett Patterson (Stephanie), Eric Patterson (Candace) and Joy Patterson; and his grandchildren, Savannah, Piper, Ian, Magnus, Atlas, Edee and Cyril.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Beaufort National Cemetery (1601 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29902). A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Baptist Church of Beaufort (601 Charles St, Beaufort, SC 29902).
