He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Harrelson Mixon and William Travis Mixon; his siblings, Steve (Sandy) of Santee and Shirley (Lester) of St. Helena Island; and his brother-in-law Guy Talley, Sr. of Beaufort.
He is survived by: his wife Fran Talley Mixon; his children, Angela LaRue, Jodi Wuttke, Lisa Vaughn (David) and Asa Godowns II (Amber); his brothers, Travis L. (Pete) and Mixson (Pam) of Hampton, SC; and his brother-in-law Roy Talley (Linda) of Beaufort. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
